Saturday started off cloudy, and I kicked off the day with Fightmaster, who delivered a charismatic live show. After Fightmasters set finished up I hung out at the Mountain Stage for Jane Remover who delivered full-on electronic chaos to a very dedicated crowd. On stage with a minimal setup, they created an atmosphere that felt like a packed rave. It was easily one of the highest-energy sets of the weekend.
Lucy Dacus was up next! She played a fun, loose set that was one of the weekend’s highlights for me. After being cloudy for most of the day the sun came out just in time for her set, even revealing a rainbow that Dacus pointed out to the crowd. She brought out Romy Madley Croft from headliners The XX to sing “Bullseye,” and Croft seemed genuinely excited to be there, even taking a moment to praise Dacus as a lyricist.

Lucy and her band seemed relaxed throughout, now in their second year touring 2025’s Forever Is a Feeling, they clearly have the show down to a science at this point. They still took a couple moments to pause and talk through the setlist, which added to the light hearted feel of the performance.
The XX closed Saturday night with one of the most anticipated performances of the festival. It was one of their first live shows back in about eight years, and the return felt impactful. Their minimal staging and atmospheric sound were enough to turn the packed field into one of the most immersive crowds of the weekend, without relying on big visuals or heavy production..
