Polyvinyl

Building on the momentum of their recent single ‘Bad Dreams’, six-piece indie-alternative powerhouse Polyvinyl release their new EP Where This Ends, exploring a protagonist’s journey through trauma and self-discovery.

Renowned for their “music as an experience” philosophy, this is not simply a music release but a multi-sensory narrative with the band also weaving five music videos (one for each track) into a singular, haunting cinematic journey. With the short film due out later this year. Vocalist Annabelle shares the following:

“We’ve always viewed our music as something to be inhabited. From on-stage props to this short film, Where This Ends is the culmination of a year spent building a world for our listeners to get lost in.”

Setting the stage with the calmly haunting instrumental ‘Untitled’, the EP explodes into the high-intensity ‘Snow & Ash’ (“To us, the song is sung towards the mushroom cloud of a nuclear blast,” Annabelle explains), balanced by the reflective ‘This Silent View’, an anthem exploring loneliness inspired by the James Webb Space Telescope. This is an EP that ebbs and flows in all the right places.
