My favourite Providence, Rhode Island punx Downtown Boys are back with ‘You’re a Ghost’, from upcoming album Public Luxury (out 26 June via Sub Pop). I’ve really missed them.
It’s fast, tense, properly driving – that industrial dance-punk thing they do so well, where it feels like it could tip over at any second but never quite does. Built for shouting along.
The animated video doesn’t pull any punches either – a direct anti-ICE statement. As the band put it:
“We must continue to demand freedom of migration… everything for everyone… ICE out.”
Downtown Boys are also sharing new 2026 US live dates supporting Gang of Four in June, and headlining shows for July. The tour begins Tuesday, June 23rd in Hamden, CT at Space Ballroom and runs through Thursday, July 23rd in Brooklyn, NY at Baby’s All Right. Additional shows will be announced soon.
