Let’s talk about creepy front row guys.

The ones who only turn up when there are women on stage. The ones stood there filming the whole set on their shitty little cameras. What are they even doing with all that footage? Honestly, these guys are a regular topic in the LOUD WOMEN group chat. We see you. We’re watching you.

And so are Die Spitz.

‘American Porn’, from their debut Something To Consume, is a direct hit. As Rolling Stone put it, the track is “a direct shot at sexist record industry insiders, and some older dudes who come to their shows just to leer at them.” No ambiguity there.

“It’s a very angry song,” says Eleanor Livingston. “And I want the people that come to our shows just because we’re pretty women or they want to sexualize or objectify us to listen to that song and tell us if they’re still a fan.”

Musically, it’s chaos with intent – jagged, loud, a bit feral – but it’s the message that lands hardest. The video doubles down too: confrontational, uncomfortable, flipping the gaze right back where it belongs.

I fucking love this band.
