untitled freak, the solo project of Ali Genevich from NYC-based band Laveda, shares ‘insincerity’, another glimpse into her debut EP 7 Circles, out 13 March.

‘insincerity’ dwells in the tension of the unsaid coming to light, heavy with dark vulnerability… a release with no clarity. Ali shares the following:

“Insincerity is a release of things I never said to someone that I wish I did. It’s hyper specific to be completely honest, but I’d rather not talk about it in detail. There was this “fuck you” letter inside me for way too long. I was afraid of feelings getting hurt, so naturally I pushed everything down and decided I didn’t need to say anything. Years later it revealed itself in the mic. Everything I’ve ever pushed down and forgotten about usually finds its way to the surface again when I’m on a mic. It feels good.”
