Wednesday’s Child

London-based band Wednesday’s Child release their second EP, All Dressed Up — our EP of the Month.

The female-led art-rock quartet — Georgia (lead vocals), Joel (guitar), Stella (drums), and Amelia (keys and bassoon) — dive deeper into heavy psych-rock realm. All Dressed Up explores themes of rebirth, reanimation, horror, and healing, weaving punk energy with spoken word and spellbinding lyricism.

Through psychological turmoil and creeping darkness, hope flickers into view with glimmers of light cutting through the chaos.

“The darker themes are dealing with psychological struggles and confrontations, healing new wounds whilst still mourning old scars… but there is also a lot of hope that comes through in the lighter sections. Everything has a flip side, a sun and a shadow, and this duality runs throughout the lyrics: “‘It can look like leaving to arrive / And feel close, very close / To laughing when I cry’”
