Yes, this is a bit meta.

LOUD WOMEN is premiering the new I, Doris video. I, Doris are the LOUD WOMEN house band. And yes, the person writing this (hi) also happens to be in the band and runs LOUD WOMEN. But honestly? That’s DIY. That’s how scenes work. And if you’re going to premiere a loud, funny as fuck, fiercely political feminist punk anthem anywhere, where better than right here.

So. After years of opening LOUD WOMEN gigs around the world with it, menopausecore sheroes I, Doris are finally unleashing ‘Superduperdoris’ – the thunderous, communal call-to-arms that regulars will already know by heart. This is the song that starts shows. The one where the dancing begins. The one where the room commits, together, to being better humans (and to absolutely not voting for fascists).

The video, premiering today here on loudwomen.org, captures the spirit of the band exactly where they live: between Brixton and Australia, between sweaty punk gigs and sunburnt festival stages, between righteous rage and ridiculous joy. Shot across continents, it features Melbourne punk band R.U.B, who joined us onstage as our beloved “Daussies” during LOUD WOMEN Fest Australia 2025 – a perfect snapshot of the international, community-led feminism that LOUD WOMEN has always been about.

Musically, ‘Superduperdoris’ is built for shouting together. Handclaps, swelling guitars, gang vocals, chanting, spelling – everything you need for a proper LOUD WOMEN anthem. At its heart sits the legendary Pledge of Doris, a moment that has unfolded differently in rooms across the world, shaped by who’s there, what’s happening politically, and the hormonal state of whichever Doris is leading it that night.

The pledge is simple, flexible, and deadly serious: do small kind things, look out for each other, and crucially, do not vote for fascists. It’s funny. It’s sincere. It’s community ethics shouted at volume. And for the first time, it’s now been captured on record.

Releasing ‘Superduperdoris’ tomorrow on Bandcamp Friday (6 February) is deliberate. I, Doris recently removed their music from Spotify – “because they are absolute c***s” – and Bandcamp remains one of the few platforms that actually supports artists and scenes. To mark the release, the band have also produced beautifully hand screen-printed tea towels featuring the full Pledge of Doris, so you can reaffirm your values while doing the washing up. As the band note, buying a tea towel on Bandcamp Friday is worth “approximately a gazillion Spotify streams anyway.”

The single artwork continues the band’s blend of reverence and irreverence. Shot by our own legendary London scene – lovingly rebuilt, carefully staged, and joyfully reimagined through a very Doris-shaped lens.

For vinyl obsessives, Superduperdoris also appears on the LOUD WOMEN 10th Anniversary Compilation, pressed on orange and purple splattered vinyl – a decade-spanning document of the artists who have helped build this scene from the ground up.

The release follows a huge year for I, Doris, with LOUD WOMEN shows in New York, Sydney and Melbourne, and a packed festival run. 2026 is shaping up to be even bigger, with international dates, major festival appearances, and more new music on the way.

So yes – this premiere is a little bit self-referential. But it’s also exactly what LOUD WOMEN exists for: celebrating the music, the people, and the communities that grow when artists support each other directly, loudly, and without asking permission.

Get ready.
It’s the Year of Doris.
