Born in Nottingham, Kezia Gill is a descendant of a large Irish musical family, which directly influenced her path in the country scene. And having listened to her latest song ‘Gut Feeling’, I can confirm that the world is a better place because of it.

‘Gut Feeling’ is the third song released from the upcoming album All On Read, and I have found it to be the most relatable so far. Whatever you are doing in life, there will be a time when something just feels wrong, even if everything seems to be going well. Or maybe the complete opposite, something might feel just so right even if it makes no sense. It’s this time that you need to trust your ‘Gut Feeling’ to let what is meant for you, find you!

Other than the catchy rhythm that makes the melody stick in your mind even after the song is done playing, the lyrics are an inner conflict of needing to trust yourself and looking for reasons not to, and the below caught me off guard because of how true it is:

“Once bitten twice shy,  One thing that you find dodging bullets over time, Is how to get out of the firing line”

It’s a reminder that instinct doesn’t just appear! Mistakes will be made; you might have feelings of regret but in the end its how we learn to trust ourselves.

And if you are just as hooked as I am, Kezia starts her headline UK tour in February 2026 (Tickets)
