RØRY

RØRY is back — louder, heavier, angrier, and absolutely in her element. Her new single ‘Dead Girl Walking’ is a ferocious battle cry, the sound of an artist who’s kicked down the walls of expectation and is now gleefully dancing in the rubble.

Fresh off a Top 10 debut album (Restoration), a Heavy Music Award win, and multiple sold-out headline tours, RØRY has every right to strut into her next era with swagger. But what I love about this track – and about RØRY in general – is that she’s not posturing. She’s transforming. You can hear her leaning into her rage, learning its shape, sharpening it, and using it to carve out space for herself in a scene that still too often sidelines women over 30, never mind 40.

“They say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks… allow me to fucking disagree.”

And yet here she is post-40, smashing down doors, screaming in their faces, and being invited to play bloody Download alongside Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, and Guns N’ Roses. I love to see it.

More of this please.
