Stockholm four-piece Clutter return with ‘Superstar’, the latest slice of fuzzed-up brilliance from their forthcoming C.L.U.T.T.E.R / Superstar 7” out 23 January 2026 via PNKSLM Recordings. Accompanied by a gloriously distorted DIY video directed by Henrik Luhr, this one’s a love letter to the dreamers — the bands in vans, the nearly-made-its, the beautifully chaotic pursuit of rock’n’roll glory.

‘Superstar’ captures everything that makes Clutter one of the most exciting new bands to come out of Sweden in years. Fronted by 21-year-olds Hilda and Emma, and completed by Ove Jerndal and Ville Scott, the quartet channel the spirit of 90s grunge through a modern indie lens — think Sonic Youth fuzz colliding headfirst with the urgency of early Wolf Alice. The riffs are jagged and joyous, the vocals veer between snarl and sigh, and the whole thing feels like it might collapse at any second… but that’s exactly the point.

The song’s raw power is matched by its sentiment — a tongue-in-cheek anthem for anyone who’s ever dreamt of stardom while scraping by on bad coffee and adrenaline.

“It’s a song for everyone who dreams about being a star, and about all the bumps and worries you may meet along the way”

Following their acclaimed debut EP Loves You and a UK tour with Hinds earlier this year, Clutter’s trajectory looks set to explode. Catch them at London’s 93 Feet East on 4 November for Pitchfork Festival, or at dates across Brighton, Manchester and Blackpool. ‘Superstar’ is loud, messy, and utterly addictive — the sound of a young band burning bright before the world catches up.
