We’re stoked to bring you the exclusive premiere of Austin hardcore punk act Mugger’s title track from their upcoming EP Want The World, out 24 October via Quiet Panic.
Mugger is composed of vocalist Anna Troxell, guitarist Daniel Fried, bassist Lisa Alley, and drummer Patrick Troxell, who bring old-school hardcore grit through a fiercely inclusive perspective, with a drive to create space for everyone in the scene.
‘Want The World’ builds on the EP’s themes of power, inclusion, and collective spirit. Anna reflects on the title track, sharing how she redefines what success truly means:
“I wanted to write a song to remind myself that I’m only limited by my own lack of imagination. There was a time that I thought success and fulfillment could only look one certain way, and it’s been so freeing to realize I get to define those things on my own terms. I wasn’t sure that I would make it to 43, but since I’m here – I want the world.”
