We’re absolutely delighted to welcome back Danielle Roberts from Alliance for Choice to LOUD WOMEN Fest London—she’s been part of our fest family for years, and we genuinely love her to bits!

The life-improving, world-changing feminist action she brings to us is nothing short of inspiring. Here’s a fuller picture of the incredible work Danielle and Alliance for Choice (A4C) are doing:

Alliance for Choice is a Belfast-based feminist collective and reproductive justice campaigner founded in 1996. They provide vital grassroots support to people in Northern Ireland seeking abortion access, and fight for free, safe, legal, local abortion, comprehensive sex education, and an end to reproductive stigma. They operate with a reproductive justice framework—championing bodily autonomy for women, trans men, and non-binary people—and are intersectional and trans-inclusive in approach. Their work has tangible impact: from providing abortion doulas, running “Stigma-and-Pills” community workshops, to de-normalising negative narratives—a powerful mix of advocacy, support, and education.

Danielle Roberts is a long-time activist with Alliance for Choice Belfast and also serves as a Policy Development Officer at Here NI, supporting and empowering lesbian and bisexual women and their families. She is also co-organiser of Reclaim the Night Belfast, and is completing a PhD at Ulster University on barriers to political participation faced by Protestant, Unionist, and Loyalist women. Danielle’s scholarly and grassroots work intersects feminist, LGBTQ+, and racial justice movements—demonstrated in recent published research illuminating how reproductive justice in NI is shaped by LGBTQ+ solidarity, cross-movement organizing, and trans-affirming practices.

Come by and chat with Danielle—learn about Alliance for Choice’s latest platform and tools, explore how they’re supporting access to abortion, dismantling stigma, and building reproductive justice, even in the face of structural barriers. This is a rare opportunity to connect with an activist and scholar who’s deeply involved in impactful feminist organizing across community, academic, and policy realms.
