berlin based punk rock band Lady LazarusLady Lazarus

A 1963 psychological thriller novel meets punk rock in catchy new single ‘The Collector’ out now from Aussie-Berlin-bound punks Lady Lazarus. A track with messaging in line with Amyl and the Sniffers‘ ‘Tiny Bikini’, Lady Lazarus’ new single is fresh, classic punk, and fun despite it’s creepy background.

“Fowles’ novel tells the disturbing story of a man who collects butterflies – until he decides to ‘collect’ a woman instead. Lady Lazarus transform this narrative into a biting metaphor for the way patriarchal control and objectification persist in modern society.”
-Lady Lazarus

In a tight two and a half minutes the band adopts a mocking voice calling out men who look at women and non-men as something to possess. The video is also really cool, and with the band’s tagline “Girls just wanna have revolution” I think this song fits perfectly.
