Vamilla shares the following about ‘What Do You Want’:

“The song came to me during COVID, where I was working in elderly care. It was an ok job, but I just remember this clear moment of sitting in my car after work, and thinking to myself that this wasn’t the life I had envisioned. In that dark grey moment, I was suddenly hit by the chorus of “What Do You Want”: It felt like a neon pink ray coursing through my veins; like a shot of adrenaline that made the hairs on my arm raise. I started singing the song to myself as I was driving, and initially it felt very hopeful, very inspiring. But as I spent more time with the song, it started to feel like it was mocking me, because I had a feeling that what it was saying wasn’t true. That I couldn’t have everything I wanted – as long as I knew what it was.”
