In an alternate universe, where Holly Humberstone‘s ‘White Noise’ was less heartache and more hip shake, Pixie Lott is giving us the ultimate summer anthem for your long awaited girls’ trip. Innovatively creating a new use for Instagram’s poll feature, followers insisted the multi-platinum pop princess deliver a timely “party record for the summer”.

The public and the media has a tendency to box female pop icons into very rigid stereotypes; expecting breakup ballads, but then never letting them branch out from previous experiments either… It’s true, Pixie has her own collection of heartbreak confessions – I remember belting ‘Somebody’s Daughter’ not too long ago. But I also spent the whole of 2009 discoing to ‘Boys And Girls’!

With an eclectic discography and the personal stories to match, Pixie is now turning it around and listening to what her fans want to express to her. As a result, we’ve been fed this gorgeously nostalgic, yet fresh blend of vintage soul vocals and an uplifting supercharge of festival energy.

All that’s left to ask is ‘What Would My Mama Do?’…Well, if she was ready to party like it’s 2009 again, she’d listen, feel, and ‘Dance Like No One’s Watching’.
