British emerging artist Lo Lauren is making pop music shinier than a diamond ring, and now she’s released her five-track EP Wonderlust to keep you sparkling all through the year. Describing her music as ‘glitter pop’, Lauren draws inspiration from the 2010s pop megastars she grew up with in her teens and combines it with her own brand of songwriting.

EP opener ‘Wonder’ is bright, upbeat and completely nostalgic. Having already been tipped a ‘Future Bop’ by BBC Radio 1, Lauren’s sweet-as-honey vocals lead us to a happy place that is both past and present.

‘Born to Run’ packs a little more attitude but still with a very healthy helping of sparkle. Lyrically, Lo Lauren explores her fierce drive to be successful in the music industry:

“Wanting to be an artist in the music industry means making that your sole focus over
absolutely everything and all kinds of relationships, be it friends, family or love interests. This song is about my feelings of ambition, lack of want to settle and constant battle of prioritising ‘real life’ vs my dreams. It’s so hard and pretty savage! But it’s also just the reality and the sacrifices that come with wanting the things I do, soz.”

Lauren’s latest single ‘Rose & Jack’ is the most raw and emotionally driven track on Wonderlust, stripping back a lot of the big, pop production that we hear in most of her music. Paying homage to the star-crossed lovers of the 1997 movie Titanic, the song tells the story of a secret relationship that you wish you could share with the world.

Lo Lauren is this generation’s freshest pop princess. Making her music an experience with her new club ‘GLO’ complete with intimate performances and crafting, this is one for the Swifties, the Arianators and the Ritabots (Lo Lauren fan title incoming…)
