Sheffield-based electro-punk rock angst-pop trio Air Drawn Dagger‘s debut album A Guide For Apparitions had me from the moment I read the title. I love everything about it and had to know more.

As someone who has delved deeply into mythology and magic, I love what this group has created. Their lyrics weave in folklore, myth and magic, pulling you into stories of hauntings and the mysteries of the more macabre nature, woven into hard punk rock (something that sounds like Avril Lavigne and Disturbed got together and made something that makes you feel your power!)

Produced by Neil Kennedy (who has a reputation for creating distinctive and original results) and released via Long Branch Records, A Guide to Apparitions is a call home for all the lost souls, in this world and the next.

With powerful, varied vocals and haunting rock music to back it all up, each track on this twelve-track album is a wild and exciting ride, drawing you in. I could listen to this album over and over again.

Air Drawn Dagger is all I’ve been looking for since my angst-filled, dark, and magically fascinated teenage years! I only had to wait twenty years to find a band that filled the void and called out the ghouls, ghost and magic makers from that cosmic space with their sound.

A Guide For Apparitions is definitely an album for every witch, wayfarer and wanderer out there. Air Drawn Dagger is set to be the next big thing in the alternative punk rock scene.
