Hailing from Newport, South Wales, electronic-pop quartet PARCS just released their latest disco-synth masterpiece, ‘red lines’ – as heard on this week’s LOUD WOMEN radio show on Resonance FM.

‘red lines’ is an earnestly hopeful track that reflects on living while stalked by chronic illness. Inescapability is the through-line of this song, but it’s accompanied by a drive to survive and thrive despite the deluge sickness can bring. Blending 80s synth, moody guitar, and bumping bassline and drums, ‘red lines’ will make you sway on the dancefloor while it blankets the pain for a little while.

‘Red Lines’ explores themes of anxiety, depression and hopelessness. Ethereal synths cut through the wall of noise created by the distorted guitars, building an atmosphere that hits you in the chest.”

PARCS always lays out impressive tracks, but ‘red lines’ feels like new ground. After dancing with tears in my eyes to this release, I’m absolutely enraptured and eagerly awaiting their album, Sleepless, coming on 2 May.
