This Valentine’s Day, Leeds based alternative band Ómoia release transcendent new double single The Love We Keep featuring introspective ‘In This Moment’ and politically charged ‘Section 28’.
The two tracks complement each other delightfully as they take the raw, emotive elements of the emo music we know and love and give it a fresh modern queer twist. This double single beautifully tells a layered story of raging wars, the ones we face in our minds and the ones we fight on the battle field.
““In This Moment” offers an introspective look at the struggle of maintaining an outward
appearance of happiness while feeling hollow and disconnected inside. It captures the
yearning for emotional validation and the tension between vulnerability and the fear of
being exposed.”
““Section 28” tackles the historical UK law that banned the acknowledgment of the LGBTQ+ community in schools and other institutions. It explores the emotional and psychological harm
caused by laws designed to erase identities, forcing silence and invisibility upon
marginalised individuals.”
