On Tuesday 11 Feb, the LOUD WOMEN radio show hosted the legends Deb Googe (Da Googie) and Cara Tivey on Resonance 104.4FM, as they joined us in the studio to perform songs from their forthcoming collaboration album, The Golden Thread.
Also on the show, we heard from Manchester’s Dirty Blonde, who are calling for better gender representation in the live circuit, following Sherlock announcing 14 all male support bands for their tour. Plus we spoke to the inspirational Stephanie Smith of Velvet Crisis, one of the leaders of Leicester’s Riotous collective who are helping older women to start punk bands.
The show was hosted by Cassie Fox, joined in the studio by Anastasiia Starkova, Victoria Hoeschle and Isobel Oxley – with photographer Artemi Falzon capturing the action.
