Vienna’s DIVES release their single ‘Happier’ on Siluh Records.
DIVES has already released two albums. This latest offering follows their debut trip to the UK last year for The Great Escape and Focus Wales. It also follows the release of their first UK album Wanna Take You There. Tours across Europe have followed, playing shows with Courtney Barnett, LA Witch, Franz Ferdinand and Paolo Nutini.
The song explores the fear of confronting a changed self and engaging in self-reflection. Maybe acknowledging that you’ve been struggling for a while but now you are happier, and thats OK.
‘Happier’ is a melancholic but ultimately joyful, guitar-driven anthem that echoes Sunflower Bean and the Breeders, with an earworm of an ending.
