Burry from Halifax/Kjipuktuk, Nova Scotia was one of the awesome artists I met earlier this month at Nova Scotia Music Week. Their evocative new pop single ‘Our Home’ is the first taste of a forthcoming album, and comes with a stunning video featuring actual scenes from their wedding, which took place this summer in Portugal.

“The song embodies the idea that home isn’t just a physical space, but an emotional refuge built on love and trust. ‘Our Home’ stands as a testament to resilience, love, and the enduring quest for belonging – making it an important piece of art in the ongoing fight for queer representation and rights.”

The track was co-written and produced by Cassie Mann, a stalwart of the Nova Scotia music scene (I met her as she was playing bass with Sophie Noel’s band, and spotted her popping up on stage all over town during Music Week).
