Shower Curtain shares their impressive debut album words from a wishing well (Angel Tapes/Fire Talk Records).
This rising New York City shoegaze act is fronted by Brazilian-American artist Victoria Winter alongside Cody Hudgins (Crate) on bass, Ethan Williams (Punchlove) on guitar, and Sean Terrell (Fasting) on drums.
Self-produced by Williams and Winter, words from a wishing well explores early adulthood and existing in a big universe through an insomnia Benadryl haze. Written during Winter’s first years living in NYC, this debut is unfiltered and bold.
Each track from words from a wishing well is like a wish thrown in a swirling dark well. Through waves of distortion and feedback, Shower Curtain’s debut is a turning point in the shoegaze genre.
