North Carolina based duo BANGZZ got in touch with us ahead of LOUD WOMEN FEST, to offer us an exclusive listen to their new song, ‘Feral as Everr’. We are so glad they did! Feral as Everr will be the first single off their new album which is brilliantly titled ‘Maybe She’s Born with it, Maybe it’s a Trauma Response’.
BANGZZ singer and guitarist Erika Libero said,
“This song is absolutely about finding your true authentic self. It’s the ripping off of a patriarchal “good girl” mask and howling at the moon, while inviting all who hear it, to do the same.”

I totally hear this and want to join in, screaming the lyrics in the chorus ‘We are born again, Feral as Everr’ with the addition of the poignant line in the second chorus, ‘let the games begin, your reign is over, I also have fangs, I also remember’. This song is raw and raucous with intense drums, insanely powerful vocals and a crazy but perfectly timed whistle sound, that I can only guess is coming from one of the many pedals that Erika showed in her LOUD WOMEN interview.
