Since the release of their debut album last year, Bristol-based punks Split Dogs have developed a reputation for delivering fast-paced, in-your-face bangers. They’ve just signed a deal with Venn Records, and will be playing Rebellion this year, for the first time.

Read on to get to know Split Dogs!

For anyone not familiar with your music, how would you describe your sound?

I’d say we’re like Status Quo but queer and hard.

If you had to recommend one of your songs to a new listener, which one would it be?

It would be our latest single “And What?” It’s our very first single off our new album which is out next February.

Are there any bands you’re particularly excited to see over the weekend?

Massively! Speaking of, Clobber are massive! Girls like us, Hot Flab, The Chisel, Grade 2, Toyah of course!

What else are you up to this year?

We have our next our single ‘Monster Truck’ out September 17th! Mega excited! We are all going on our first plane ride together to Poland in September, also we go on tour with Last Gang, Lost Hounds and Clobber! September is hectic and we can’t wait.

Split Dogs will be performing on the Introducing (Pavilion) stage on the Friday of Rebellion Festival this year –  tickets and info here.
