Bad Mary plays a New York brand of alternative punk rock. They live outside of the conventional. They do whatever they want. Bad Mary’s music is a combination of glamour, wit, and punk rock. Envision Liza Minnelli as a punk rocker.

While trudging through everyday life, there are moments when I feel I’m just spinning my wheels. No traction whatsoever. Like fighting a riptide trying to get back to safety. When I listened to Bad Mary’s new track ‘Better Days’, the song instantly resonated. My very own personal anthem. And there’s a corresponding music video? That’s a win-win!

‘Better Days’ has a waltz quality. Dancy, punchy, polished, bright. Amanda Mac’s vocals command our attention. Her vocal delivery, the force that powers the vessel of our listening experience. The song’s message of hope is universal. Hope is all we have sometimes. Even though 99% of the lyrics lean heavy, the words “better days” inspire hope. The hope for better days is the proverbial carrot that helps us carry on.
