Melbourne four-piece Parsnip have released their second album, Behold.

Behold was recorded over the course of three years, and perfectly encapsulates the band’s layered and collaborative sound.

‘Duality’ is a standout track, sounding like what you might get if you asked a post-punk band to write a song for the Nuggets compilation. It’s a dreamy, psychedelic track, with some amazing organ playing swirling throughout. ‘Pockets’, an instrumental track later in the album, has this vibe too.

Throughout the album, elements of bands like The Raincoats, Veronica Falls, Dolly Mixture, and Belle & Sebastian combine to create a sound that is uniquely Parsnip.
