Our favourite punk-folkers Muddy Summers & the Dirty Fieldwhores just dropped ‘Doombox’ – a relatable anthem for all of us struggling to get ourselves started this January!

If you’re lucky enough to be unfamiliar with the term, a doombox is a box (or cupboard, or room, or house …) full of unfinished *stuff*. Projects you were going to get started but then you got distracted, half-completed hobbies you got too busy to carry on with, things that broke and you intend to fix one day … MS&DFWs advice to put ‘one foot in front of the other’ is solid gold.

The band are led by powerhouse scenequeen Gail Something-Else – the force of nature behind the Something-Else festival and Tea Tent which pops up at festivals like Bearded Theory. Gail created the song’s adorable animated video herself – there’s no end to this woman’s talents!

Here’s the band’s links!
