Belfast-based A.N.J.A. has torn through the gates of the cosmic realm to bring us a hair-raising horror punk anthem of our own demise in her latest release ‘Stimulation.’
A.N.J.A. opens the track with lavishly rich alto vocals that soon dive into static-laced pronouncements and maniacal squeals. Serving as the opening act for dimensional terrors entering our world, A.N.J.A. is the harbinger of humanity in peak musical form.
The level of storytelling is elevated even higher with an echoing narration of an otherworldly voice proclaiming the Earth’s annihilation. Eerily painting a vivid scene of doom and turmoil perfect for the ghostly chills of autumn. The lyrics also serve as a compelling commentary on our complacency with social media and the ever-twisting web of the internet.
‘Stimulation’ sets a fun tone for lovers of rock and dark imagery, and I promptly added it to my haunting playlist for this season.
