She’s In Parties, the indie-pop shoegaze band who marry the future and past together, continue to dazzle with their new track ‘L Word.’
The plucky, dreamy, bassline and guitar melodies draw you in from the start. And you’ll soon notice this track leans more on the alt-rock side than previous tracks of theirs. It gives the feeling of being at a party at 3 a.m.; the mood dying down whilst you’re lost in hazy thoughts about someone just out of reach. Katie Dillon (lead vocalist of the band) sings about the anxieties and reservations in telling someone you love them and backtracking after confessing.
“Afraid to say the L word, afraid to let my guard down”
The textured layers of the chorus transport the listener to an ethereal world of reverbed vocals, noisy guitar, and smooth bass melodies- happily accompanied by a steady drumbeat.

Fortunately, we won’t have to wait long for more She’s In Parties music, as their debut EP End Scene comes out on the 6th of October, when they will also be performing an EP release show at Three Wise Monkeys in Colchester.
