Dream pop duo Moon Panda (Maddy Myers and Gustav Moltke) share a futuristic music video for their latest single, ‘Machina Sky’.

‘Machina Sky’ is from Moon Panda’s upcoming album, Sing Spaceship, Sing!, out 21 July.

The video for ‘Machina Sky’ (and previous releases ‘Starfruit’ and ‘Tangerine Light’) was animated by Wobbly Lobster.

“‘Machina Sky’ finishes a trilogy of music videos I animated back to back for Moon Panda. It’s been a joy to sit with their beautiful music and delve into colourful and calm sci-fi worlds. Each video shares the same peaceful and steady exploratory tones, but are mainly linked by their differences. ‘Starfruit’, with its focus on a figure in deep space and aesthetic of neon outlines and circles, was created in opposition to the internal showcase of the space hotel in ‘Tangerine Light’ and its filled square/block style.

For ‘Machina Sky’ I wanted to build on this and focus on a third set of differences, which involved alien landscapes and character animation using photo cutout and 3D content. Triangles and trios was an enjoyable visual theme, along with making ‘hybrid’ creatures. It’s been a real pleasure working with Moon Panda on this run of videos. It’s been pretty epic and I’m so proud of our collaboration series.”
