London-based trio Dream Wife released their latest single/video, ‘Orbit’. The trio also announced their upcoming album, Social Lubrication (out 9th June via Lucky Number). Dream Wife’s third album is self-written and self-produced and takes a playful approach on heavy topics like bodily autonomy, ripping apart the patriarchy, and using your platform for the greater good.
‘Orbit’ is a surprising track with snippets of punk energy and classic rock swagger. There’s also an art rock vibe to the track that would stand out in the post-punk revival scene in the 2000s. Dream Wife shares the following about ‘Orbit’:
“Lyrically, it was inspired by post-lockdown London coming back to life and sharing a space through friendship and community. And how each day you never know what’s in store for you or how a stranger can become someone close to you – for a day, a heartbeat, a phase, or a lifetime.”

Dream Wife will be on tour through the US, UK & IE and this is where Social Lubrication will come alive. Guitarist (and the album’s producer!) Alice Go shares that “The live show is the truth of the band. That’s at the heart of what we do and of the statements we’re making.”
