Dublin's ferocious jazz-punksters Vernon Jane are heading across the Irish Sea to see us – headlining our gigs at The Piper on 9 Feb and Hope & Anchor on 11 Feb! Did we mention that singer Emily joins us as the very first guest on our very first new LOUD WOMEN Radio Show, on air this Sunday at 5pm on Louder Than War Radio – tune in! In the meantime, we got to know them a little better with our 5 question interview...
1. For people who’ve not heard you play live before, what can we expect from you at the LOUD WOMEN gig?
Expect to see us be present and in the moment. just taking it all a moment at a time. Whatever you want to feel is alright by us. so expect a safe place to feel what you need too and also expect us to have no expectations.
2. What’s the most important thing we need to know about your band right now?
Emzo recently pulled a car with brute force and wont shut up about it and we have a new album out this year which we actually do shut up about.
3. If you could add any musician (live or dead) to your band lineup, who would it be?
Probably different for all of us. I don’t like the idea of having the power to bring someone back from the dead so I guess it has to be someone alive… But that would mean asking someone and we are too shy for that.
4. Pass the mic – who are your top 3 contemporary bands?
A band called Thrown, Girli, and Gilla band
5. Draw us a picture…
[We’re pretty sure they didn’t draw this but it’s a stupid question so what did we expect frankly?]
