With their driving, almost meditative drumbeat and ethereal vocals, Portland based Lore City pack a mystical punch. This single is released in advance of their upcoming album Participation Mystique, which will be released on July 23rd.
They say: “[We combine] elements of psych rock, post-rock, dark wave, and dream pop. The new single ‘I Know You Know,’ is a taut anthem vibrating with the tension between material and spirit.”
Vibrating with tension is certainly something this track does: Listening to it feels like you are on a ship at sea, where a storm is about the break. The composition, production and performance all feel truly targeted and in line with the same story.
