‘Somewhere’ by Julia Clara of the Åland Islands is, she tells us, about “trying to escape from escapism”. The track is effectively acapella:
“I wanted to create something with my bare vocals, and this is the result. All the sounds (except for the bird chirping) are simply made with my voice – some tracks more drenched with filters than others.”
