Istanbul-born, France-based singer-songwriter Lal Tuna releases her debut album Don’t Forget Me.
Lal merges pop, gothic country, grunge, and 1960s garage influences, building an intimate yet cinematic world.
A turning point in her life came after a medical incident on New Year’s Eve 2025 that led to hospitalisation and isolation. After regaining her voice, Lal decided it was time to record the songs she had written over the years. A fully DIY project at heart and soul, Don’t Forget Me was entirely written, composed, and recorded by Lal using GarageBand, including directing all accompanying visuals.
The album explores heavy themes including survivor trauma, post-traumatic stress, sexual assault, and depression, while also weaving in moments of tenderness through love ballads and reflection.
Don’t Forget Me is a coming-of-age album shaped by survival and perseverance, when life becomes unflinchingly real.
