North London newcomer raine has arrived with a debut single that will hit every “sad sapphic” right in the sternum.

Built on a gentle, guitar-led soundscape, the track blends poetic lyricism with a deceptively simple hook: “I like girls who don’t like girls.” Equal parts devastating and darkly funny, raine captures the uniquely queer experience of falling for straight women – a queer rite of passage so universal it might as well be on the curriculum.

Self-written and self-produced, ‘girls who don’t like girls’ is a quietly stunning debut from a queer voice we absolutely want to hear more from.
