Welcome to the theatrical, art rock world of UK’s Black Bordello. ‘Drones’ is the latest release from the 5 piece fronted by Sienna Bordello who released their dubut album on 2020. Not your usual track this song tells the story of a video gamer recruited into the army to operate military drones.

he suffered PTSD when the realisation that he’d been controlling the distribution and attack of drone missiles on civilians sank in.

The video, with its cheerleaders in a British industrial wasteland and band footage looking like scenes out of Dr Who, is no less weird, quirky and eclectic than the track itself. Their live shows are reputed to be equally theatical so watch out for their next gigs. ‘Drones’ is out now on Hideous Mink Records.
