So Faint, the collaborative project of Lyn Heinemann and Hannah Georgas, release their self-titled album on a new label founded by Georgas, Beetle Bomb Records.
The duo reunited in 2023 after being on separate paths, with Heinemann stepping away from bands to write music for herself, while Georgas joined Broken Social Scene for their latest LP, Remember The Humans. Now, the two come together as So Faint, bringing their individual experiences into a shared project.
So Faint’s self-titled debut is bright with reflections on the waves of being an adult, grief, and the uncertainties of moving forward. Heinemann reflects on the sudden death of a best friend and the end of a long-term relationship, while Georgas explores partnership, pushing through depression and doubt. Two halves creating a whole, the album finds common ground in the challenges of navigating life and the hope of starting again.
Alongside the album’s release, the duo share a new video for ‘Begin Again’.
Georgas describes the song as being “about being stuck in cycles of indecision and effort that can feel meaningless. And it’s also about hope for a future after the relationship is over, where it feels good to be alone. The fantasy of feeling somehow brand new and desirable in this unrealized future state.”
The missing piece of 2026, So Faint’s debut is a reminder that even when life feels uncertain, there is always room to begin again.
