Acadian Polaris-nominated Lisa LeBlanc shares ‘Too Many Cooks’ from her upcoming album Patchwork, out 5 February 2027 via Bonsound.

An earworm of funk-meets-country, ‘Too Many Cooks’ features a fingerpicking riff inspired by legendary guitarist Chet Atkins, groovy basslines and vibrant brass arrangements reminiscent of James Brown and Chic.

The accompanying video takes its cues from reality cooking shows, with one notable difference: LeBlanc’s fellow contestants are mischievous puppets.

“The music video for ‘Too Many Cooks’ is inspired by a reality cooking show where contestants host the other participants in their homes. I’m competing against little mischievous puppets who are trying to sabotage my chances to win. Based on the turn of phrase ‘Too many cooks in the kitchen,’ it’s a quirky, kinda funky, kinda country fun tune!”
