LA-based genre-fluid artist Abby Posner shares ‘I’m Doing Fine’, the first single from upcoming album Rest and Rise, out on 30 October.
Tinged with Americana and folk-rock elements, the song explores the quiet, disorienting moments when grief lingers long after the world has moved on.
Written after a painful breakup, Posner found herself confronting the disorienting reality that while one relationship can bring your world to a halt, everyone and everything else keeps moving, with poetic lyrics such as:
She fixed the curtains and she built a swing / Do you laugh together? Tell me, do you sing?”
