Tahini Bikini joined Cassie Fox and Dani Tagen in the Resonance 104.4FM studio this week for a brilliant live session, while Wendy James of Transvision Vamp joined the show for a hugely inspiring conversation.
Over from Aotearoa/New Zealand for their first international shows, Tahini Bikini brought their infectious live energy into the Waterloo studio for a stripped-back performance and chat. We’d been looking forward to their visit in our preview of the show, and they absolutely delivered.
It was also a real privilege to talk to Wendy James ahead of Transvision Vamp’s first UK tour since 1991. Wendy spoke about stepping back into the band after all these years, her fiercely independent career and the scrutiny faced by outspoken women in music. An inspiring conversation with someone who has very much continued to do things on her own terms.
