New York City’s Whisper Doll share ‘Sunsigns’, the latest preview of their upcoming album Lucky Clover, out 2 October via Take Care Records.
Looking to the sun, moon and stars for meaning, and turning to the cards for answers, ‘Sunsigns’ blends whimsical warmth with dreamy instrumentation and vocals. Vocalist Fiona shares:
“This song is about the stage of being super enamored with someone to the point that you’re looking up their star signs and trying to gauge your compatibility with them from afar. I wanna know what the universe has to say!”
The accompanying music video, inspired by the 2016 cult classic The Love Witch, brings the song to life through framing inspired by the film’s signature close-up shots, even down to the blue eyeshadow, as tarot cards reveal the universe’s answers.
