All aboard. This might be the most ridiculous LOUD WOMEN week we’ve ever attempted.

Seven events. Six days. Five cities. Plus the internet.

After a summer that has already taken LOUD WOMEN all over the place, apparently the sensible thing to do was cram almost an entire tour into the first week of September.

Here’s where to find us.

Tuesday 1 September: LOUD WOMEN Volume 7 listening party

We’re starting without even leaving the house.

At 8pm UK time, join us on Bandcamp for the LOUD WOMEN Volume 7 Listening Party.

We’ll be playing all 22 tracks from beginning to end, just over an hour of music from artists across the international LOUD WOMEN community. Members of Team LOUD WOMEN will be hanging out in the chat, and some of the artists featured on the compilation will be dropping in too.

Come and listen, say hello and discover your new favourite band. BYO snacks and tipples. Pets very welcome.

Wednesday 2 September: LOUD WOMEN Edinburgh

Then we’re off to Scotland and our wonderfully subterranean Edinburgh home, the Banshee Labyrinth.

Second Idol + SheBeat + YIOTA + Von Dodds

Sydney’s Second Idol are making excellent use of their trip to this side of the planet, joining three Edinburgh artists for a midweek LOUD WOMEN takeover.

Doors 7.30pm.

Thursday 3 September: art, abortion and activism at the Vagina Museum

Thursday takes us back to London, but this time we’re swapping the stage for the Vagina Museum.

Wholly Trinity: Abortion, Art and Activism in Northern Ireland explores the role artists and creatives played in campaigning for abortion rights in Ireland and the power of art to create resistance, reform and liberation.

Following the screening, LOUD WOMEN founder Cassie Fox joins Danielle Roberts of Alliance for Choice and cultural producer and artivist Sandy AbdelRahman for a discussion and Q&A, chaired by the Vagina Museum’s Katja Holtz.

Doors are at 7.15pm, with the screening beginning at 7.30pm.

On Friday we’re joining forces with GothFrog Productions for DOLLHOUSE: GothFrog x LOUD WOMEN at ARC:hive in Liverpool.

Auraboros + The Argyle Jumpers + Woke Nonsense + Second Idol

It’s a meeting of international touring artists, Liverpool talent and two grassroots promoters who firmly believe live music is better when we work together.

Saturday 5 September: LOUD WOMEN Fest London

And then: THE BIG ONE.

The 11th LOUD WOMEN Fest London takes over Rich Mix in Bethnal Green for a full day of music across two stages.

Nineteen artists. Seven countries. Two stages.

LOUD WOMEN Fest has always been about discovery. Come for the artists you already love, arrive early, stay all day and leave with several new favourites.

Come early. Stay all day. Get involved.

Sunday 6 September: LOUD WOMEN Brighton

Nobody said we were going home after London.

Sunday afternoon takes us to the Prince Albert in Brighton for another international LOUD WOMEN bill.

Bullshit Boy + Lilith Left the Garden + Second Idol + Playing Alice + WREX

Germany, the Netherlands, Australia and the UK meet in Brighton for a Sunday matinee of loud, DIY music and international community.

AND Sunday 6 September: LOUD WOMEN Canterbury

Because apparently one gig on Sunday wasn’t enough.

Our Kent team is simultaneously taking over The Lady Luck in Canterbury with another five-band bill.

Bill Ricky + Luxury Nan Smell + The Calaveras + WREX + French Toast

And this one is FREE ENTRY.

Yes, WREX are playing London on Saturday and then Brighton and Canterbury on Sunday. We strongly advise against attempting this yourself without access to a teleportation device.

So, to recap:

Online → Edinburgh → London → Liverpool → London → Brighton + Canterbury.

This is what happens when you spend 11 years building an international grassroots music community and then apparently decide to do all of it in one week.

Come to one. Come to several. Attempt the full run if you’re feeling particularly ambitious.
