We’re hugely chuffed to be featured on the Mixcloud blog in a brilliant deep dive into the story of LOUD WOMEN and how one small London gig grew into an international DIY community.

In ‘Turning up the volume: The rise of LOUD WOMEN’, Mixcloud’s Editorial Lead Yemi Abiade talks to founder Cassie Fox about why LOUD WOMEN started in the first place, our mission to get more women and non-binary artists heard, and how the community has grown over the past 11 years.

There’s plenty of radio chat too, from our weekly shows on Resonance FM and Louder Than War to the huge range of music being made across the LOUD WOMEN community. Cassie also shares some of the artists she thinks everyone should be watching, along with some lessons learned from building a volunteer-powered international network.

Most importantly, it’s a lovely celebration of the thing at the heart of everything we do: people creating opportunities for each other, sharing what they have, amplifying brilliant artists and making the music world a little fairer and louder in the process.

Massive thanks to Yemi and the Mixcloud team for giving LOUD WOMEN such a generous spotlight.
