Legendary Japanese punk band Shonen Knife release Let’s Knife Re-Cut, a reimagining of their iconic 1992 album Let’s Knife.
Now consisting of Naoko (lead vocals, guitar), Atsuko (bass, vocals), and Risa (drums, keyboards, vocals), Shonen Knife deliver a sharper, modern version of Let’s Knife. The original album was never released on streaming services, so Let’s Knife Re-Cut gives both longtime fans and new listeners the chance to experience these songs in a new way.
Let’s Knife Re-Cut captures the brightness and punk energy that Shonen Knife are known for. The original Let’s Knife remains a landmark release in music history, from Kurt Cobain becoming a fan and inviting Shonen Knife to open for Nirvana’s Nevermind tour, to inspiring generations of musicians to create their own music.
