To coinside with their recent signing to Transgressive Records, Los Angeles rising band Jawdropped have shared new single ‘Monday’, a fuzzy catchy blast of power pop about facing your feelings of Monday morning anticipation head on.
“Monday is about treading the waters of anticipation, but deciding to face your feelings head on,” says the band. “The truth will set you free, even if it’s just the Sunday scaries.”
Formed in 2024, the new track follows 2025’s debut EP Just Fantasy. Jawdropped’s distinct take on grungy power pop is earnest and immediate, sung with a smirk on their face and fingers crossed behind their back. Anchored by friendship, they’ve a commitment to the sing-along rock and the amplified energy of bands such as the Lemonheads and Brand New Friends.
Having already supported the likes of Bully and Momma in the US the band are heading overseas this month for their first-ever UK tour, playing at festivals such as The Great Escape and Dot to Dot.
