Yorkshire five-piece garage-punks Tiger Island drop new single ‘Find Out Who You Are (And Do It On Purpose)’, inspired by the quote spoken by country star and all round goddess Dolly Parton, the track is about letting your freak flag fly high.
“We spend our lives conforming to social codes that aren’t always helpful and can even be harmful. Many of us will waste years chasing other people’s goals and standards, trying to squeeze ourselves into boxes that just don’t fit.
This song wonders what happens when we put all of that in the bin and really let go. Who would we become?” say the band.
Influenced by the rock ‘n roll spirit of bands such as Hot Snakes and Wipers, blending this with the synth power pop glam of legendary artists the B-52’s and Blondie. The track also comes with a fun-packed spooky video, like your watching an episode of Scooby-Doo.
This single is the first track following the news of their debut album Let’s Go Out due for release in June 2026, backed by a wave of live shows and album launch party.
