On Sunday 15 March (3pm–9pm), the indoor skate park at The Hub (36 Fielding Ave, Dartmouth NS, Canada) transforms into a free, all-ages live show and skateboarding hangout designed as a safe, judgement-free space — especially for women, femmes, non-binary and queer folk. Whether you’re landing tricks or learning to stand on the board, this one’s about community, connection and having a go. The day is being organised by our dear friend Loviet, who tore it up at last year’s LOUD WOMEN Fest Halifax in Nova Scotia — and clearly hasn’t stopped building brilliant things since. (Speaking of which… keep your eyes peeled for more LOUD WOMEN action in Canada later this year.)
There’ll be extra gear on site (boards, pads and more) or bring your own; an experienced skate coach offering tips and tricks; sofas and chill space if you’d rather watch; plus giveaways and prizes courtesy of Renew Skateboards, Pro Skates, Partner Skateboards, Inside The Scene and The Pavillion. And yes — FREE LIVE MUSIC all day, with a line-up stacked with local powerhouses:
Jade Bennett
Infectious melodies and powerhouse vocals meet confessional songwriting that explores queer identity and lived experience. From haunting lullabies to vengeful pop, Jade carries raw emotion through every note. (You might also know her from Paraless — Halifax’s Paramore tribute — or alt-gaze indie band Salt Lamp.)
Book Buddies
Halifax alt/post-punk sweethearts balancing sugary melodies with distorted guitars. Intimate, authentic songwriting with real DIY backbone — think heart-on-sleeve indie with a scrappier edge.
ANGEL GIRL
Queer, riot grrrl-fuelled punk bringing intense, feminine rage and explosive live energy. Fresh off debut EP LIFE OF AN ANGEL — previously hailed by LOUD WOMEN as “one of the most exciting punk releases of 2026” — expect catharsis, sweat and solidarity.
Loviet
90s-tinged indie-rock and alt-pop bangers from an artist who’s supported major international acts and played Lollapalooza and Riot Fest. A Music Nova Scotia Rock Recording of the Year winner and ECMA Breakthrough Artist, Loviet delivers arena-ready energy — and she’s closing out this community-powered day.

It’s free. It’s all ages. It’s cool AF. It’s about carving out space — literally and figuratively — for people who don’t always get handed the mic or the board. Dartmouth, don’t miss this.
