Brighton quartet ladylike share new single ‘Fresh Linen’, the latest from their debut EP It’s A Pleasure Of Mine, to Know You’re Fine, out 13 March via Heist or Hit, with the physical edition following on 24 April. The EP will be available as a special Dinked Edition vinyl.
‘Fresh Linen’ is a seven-minute magnum opus, a folk and post-rock-infused soundscape that unfolds organically, delicate yet bold.
“It felt incredibly natural to create. It showcases us as individuals, yet when we play the song live, we merge and immerse ourselves into one big machine. A very odd machine, that’s constantly evolving, but it’s churning and chugging on with life. There’s no set inspiration or sound we were trying to create; it’s very much just a reflection on how we felt over a series of days writing it.

Lyrically, it feels the most personal track on the EP, but the words also feed into the band machine. I can fully immerse myself in this one and look forward to every time we play it.”
